Main research fields: Geochronology; Precambrian geology; crustal formation, growth and evolution; petrological geochemistry. The specific research is as follows: Archean crustal growth and evolution of Craton, North China (mainly in areas of Shandong, eastern Hebei and Anshan-Benxi); zircon U-Pb dating and genesis; crustal evolution in early Archaean of craton Kaapvaal, South Africa. He has undertaken the projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, geological survey, national major instruments and other special projects.
